Morning and evening monitoring: Bobby charted in the 70s although you could clearly hear a beat that wasnt being picked up, so we counted and our nurses counted 140s-150s. A positive update on the evening monitoring: he actually had a few moments of non-arrythymic heart tones. Perhaps he is growing out of this? Could we be so lucky!
Had a cervical ultrasound with MFM doctor, Dr G. My cervix measured 1.4cm, which is down .2 from the last measurement, but that is within the margin of error (although, looking at it, it did look shorter in my non-medical opinion... I expected a shorter measurment, honestly). Quickly, we looked at the babies and Dr G said that, if he were a betting person, he'd bet that Bobby will be in the 99% of babies that grow out of this either prior to birth or immediatly upon birth.
About 30 minutes ago, Dr S., a resident, came and did the BPP ultrasound. Once again, 8/8. AMEN. Both Maya and Bobby were very active and she agrees with Dr. G. and the other doctors. The monitor must be half counting because he was in the 140s-150s the entire time she had him on u/s. Still arrythymic but definitely not in the 70s.
My days have become much busier with the added monitoring. Before breakfast, there is blood sugar monitoring, then breakfast, then baby monitoring with b/s checking in the mix. My monitoring has been lasting at least an hour sometimes two and usually is followed by an u/s. This morning, Dr. B. confirmed that they will be doing daily u/s's and BPPs. I've been lucky to get in an afternoon nap. It's crazy. I feel horrible because I havent been returning the phone calls and emails I've been getting because I'm just so tired and busy. On the good side, it makes my days go by so much quicker!
Off to bed... I'm so tired... But the babies arent! We'll see how this goes!
(BTW, Nicky, if you're reading- you are always welcome to email me (michele dot haytko at gmail dot come). It's nice to hear from you! Mamaw gives me updates on how all the cousins are doing since we are flung out all over the U.S. Big hugs to you guys and kisses to Ian.)
