NICU Day 44 (TCN 12)
Babies are perfect, as always. They are taking a lot of their feeds orally today.
Peter and I, not so perfect. We had an argument today... The first in a long time. I know we are both under stress but still... It hurts that we fought. A lot.
I just want to go back to the hospital right now...
AW :0( I'm sorry you guys argued, even though its normal, and ofcourse quite impressive you have managed to go so far without arguing considering how much stress you both are under, it still hurts when a fight hapens. I hope you both can resolve your issues very soon. *hugs*
I'm sorry. It is a very stressful time. I know that my husband and I had our fair share of fights when J was in hospital. We don't generally argue a great deal either. Thinking of you. Hang in there xo
How great is it that every post starts with the babies are perfect? So great to hear. Sorry you and your husband had a fight. You are both sleep deprived and under tremendous stress. Don't forget to take care of yourself! Hang in there.
Michele, fatigue and stress mean that fighting is often inevitable. You and Pete love each other so much and will get past this day and this fight. Sending my love to you both and kisses to the babies.
hubby and i are the same way--we rarely fight unless there is a lot of stress going on. i know it hurts when you do fight, though. it will be ok and it will all be as it was before, even if right now it doesn't feel like you can un-say the things you both said. extra hugs for the babies tomorrow!
(((HUGS))) I can only imagine the stress... I'm sure arguing does not help any and thus only adds to the stress. I hope you two are able to take some time for yourselves to just reconnect as you face the world as a team.
Arguments happen with all of us. Remember you are very sensitive with hormones after giving birth. Things are different and hurt much more. After one of my babies I couldn't even watch TV (a certain show with babies in it) because it hurt too much to watch. I ended up nursing my baby in the closed bedroom by myself crying. Hugs and love, Anne

I can't imagine the stress you're all facing. Hugs.

It's hard. It's just so hard. I'm sorry this is added to your stress. I pray feelings are healed and solutions are reached.
Peace, my friend.
praying for you. Peace be with you :)

It's too bad that you had to get the stressful energy out that way, but hopefully it clears the path ahead.

I'm sorry you had a fight. I will continue to pray for you all. For wellness for those sweet babies and peace and patience for you and your husband.
I'm Praying for Peace to be laid upon you and the argument to be a distant memory soon. xoxo, kandi
*hugs* Michele. Fighting with your spouse is the worst especially when you need each other most. Prayers for peace and understanding.
I'm sorry, I know how stressful the NICU can be. Sending yo many prayers to find comfort in eachother during this time.
I can sympathize - we had a fight this weekend, too. It seems like such a shock when everything has brought you so close. Hope all is well!
((HUGS)) It happens. Look at your life, look at the last 4 months!
I think that it's okay to blow up once in awhile.
