This year, the kids were NOT having it. Hence Mama in the photo (and looking oh so "I do NOT want my picture taken"). But, the grandmas demand Santa photos! And, it's a cute way to keep up with the kids over the years.

I can't blame the kids for not wanting to sit with Santa this year. At 2 years old, they have the concept of a stranger down pat. We tell them "Don't talk to strangers", "Don't go off with strangers", and then your own mother sticks you in some strange guy's lap! Yeah, I wouldn't be overjoyed either.
But, for whatever it's worth, the 2011 picture has been taken, and I'm sure next year will be better! Hopefully... For the grandmothers' sakes...

That's so cool that it's the same Santa year after year!
Jess LOVES seeing Santa now; in fact before the season is over, we'll have seen at least 3 (well 2 because the dirty old man we saw who wanted a kiss was wearing a Santa suit but did not have the spirit of Santa). It took a couple of years before she didn't scream in terror at the sight of him. Jason is less than thrilled at having his pic taken but I've let him know he will be doing it for at least the next few years.
It took a couple of years but Jess LOVES Santa now. In fact, we'll have gone at least 3 times to see him (different places) before the season is over. Jason's less than thrilled about getting his pic taken but I insist on it.
Awww! So cute. I can't believe you got the SAME Santa three years a in row.
