I will post more about the condition, etc, when I can, but I wanted to request prayers and thoughts before we left (since I cant get to blogger from the hospital computer). We know that these made a huge difference before and trust they will do the same now.

Pray for Maya
Maya will be having laser eye surgery in less than 3 hours. At her eye check yesterday, the doctor saw premature dilation in the blood vessels which, although she is still at stage 2 ROP, is a sign of problems if left untreated. They immediately called the surgeon and surgery was scheduled for this morning. We are about to leave for the hospital. We wanted to be with her as much as we could. They will sedate, paralyze, and intubate her for the procedure, which should last an hour. Afterwards, once the medications wear off, she will be extubated and brought back to TCN from isolation (we can still be with her in isolation, there are just no other babies there). We will know in 4-6 weeks whether or not the surgery worked.
Praying all goes smoothly for Maya and you are surrounded by peace xxx
