I loved reading this blog. Every once in awhile I come here to read something. I realized that Bobby and Maya are almost exactly the same age as my third, Hudson. He was born on 9/3/09. They are doing very well for being premature! Praise God. Hudson was born at 41wks1day and weighed 9lbs1oz but now measures more like your daughter Maya at about 24lbs but maybe shorter than her because he has a very thick waist :)
Anyway, I enjoy your transparency on your blog and have read some of your older posts. Maybe we could get together sometime to talk.
LoriDavidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02354842181591124323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1809677799536184324.post-30606838698449705382011-03-14T01:48:35.580-04:002011-03-14T01:48:35.580-04:00My gosh, has it been that LONG?!? (He was in a size 5 last night because that was what I grabbed and it was a snug fit that left him with a red mark :( )

They have never been nipple/glass addicted, if that makes sense. They liked their binks, until we took them away and then they never asked for them. When we went from bottle to straw cup, no issue. The last bottle of the night is akin to nursing for our family. We'd planned to nurse until 2 and we've decided to continue giving them their last bottle until 21m (at least), both for the calories as well as the ease and comfort factor. Our doctor recommended weaning 15m-21m, and we opted to do the main wean at 15m and postpone this one until 21-24m. We use Born Free, which are shaped like the breast and avoid the issue of damaging developing teeth.Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17681333723382119281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1809677799536184324.post-41403087531016677102011-03-10T21:49:12.136-05:002011-03-10T21:49:12.136-05:00Curious about a couple of things. My son is 35# and still comfortably wears a size 4 Pamper Baby Dry diaper (although i do put him in a 5 overnight for bedtime because he tends to over soak his diaper). You say that Bobby is about 30#, but wears two sizes larger. I only mention this because, as you know, the larger the size, the less diapers you get in a pack. Also, I am wondering why you are choosing to keep the kids on a bottle. All three of mine had their last the day before they turned one. Even my son, who had not really mastered the cup, learned in a few days without his bottle. At that age, they never gave it a second thought. I just find the longer you wait, the harder it is.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17699715270329149095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1809677799536184324.post-6484723355913398892011-03-10T17:02:36.496-05:002011-03-10T17:02:36.496-05:00Yay for 18 months!!!
