I hate to be"mean" (which is what it always feels like to me), but it really is necessary to let them deal with consequences sometimes.<br /><br />On a different note, my childhood experience with religion sounds like yours. As an adult, I would say that I have faith, but I still avoid organized religion. Sure, it'd be nice if they'd sit and be quiet and I could concentrate on what was being said. In the end, I wound up being proud of myself, that Mommy doesn't put up with crap behavior, that I wasn't allowing others time in church to be disrupted by my kid.<br /><br />It happens.
